Agendas

Employee organizations, departments or individuals who have items to be brought before the Commission must submit them by noon the Wednesday before the Commission meeting. This permits the agenda and its background information to be prepared for distribution to those interested parties.

All agenda requests shall be submitted in writing, state what is desired, and cite the applicable Personnel Rule (“where the right of appeal is expressly granted.” In most cases, such requests will appear on the Commission’s next regular agenda. A verbal or written response as to the tentative disposition of any request will be provided by the staff.

The agenda will be mailed on the Thursday preceding the scheduled meeting to each Civil Service Commissioner, each employee organization, the Human Resources Department, Commission Counsel, and other interested parties.

The agenda format is basically the same as that used by the Board of Supervisors. It provides for consent and discussion items as well as for public comment.
